I got my laptop stolen and I have to have the police report so I won’t have to pay for it anymore at Rent-A-Center (who by the way still wants me to pay even thoguh the laptop is gone. Which is $4000) and I really don’t want to pay it if I don’t have . Plus I had insurence on it so if somethign like this happened I would have to pay for it. but they are still going to make me if I don’t get the police report. Which I get because they might think i still ahve it , but i don’t. So please help me.Where would i go. and Can I get it off the internet?

I’ve had around a 3.3 GPA through high school. I play football, wrestle, and have weight lifted since freshman year. I’ve always planned on enlisting in the Marines but I want to stay here with my girlfriend. We’re getting married after high school, I’m graduating early so I’m planning on getting a job and a place around her college and she’ll move in when she goes there, she’ll be going to Purdue which is only about 20 minutes from where we live now.

I’m a certified EMT, but have wanted to be a Cop. My dad’s a Sargeant with IPMD (Indianapolis Police Department). I’m either going to get a job as an EMT while I go to paramedic school, then when I turn 21 get a job as a firefighter OR get a job as a Cop.

Which would you do?

(I have like 15 credits towards a degree in Criminal Justice but I don’t really want to go to college, how hard would it be to get a job as a Cop without a degree?)

I was convicted of a D felony last year which was dropped to a misdemeanor. I did probation for 4 months and paid all restitution and court fees. This was my first offense. I wanted to know if there was some way to get my record sealed or get a pardon. I heard that I couldn’t get it expunged but I am going into the education field and you can’t have a criminal history such as mine. Any information would be appreciated

I’m sure I will get al sorts of remarks, but I want to know. Everyone does a job, from a waitress, to a nurse, to a teacher and everyone chooses their careers, for the most part. So when a cop gets shot and or killed, why does everyone want to get stickers made and give them parades for? I understand they are “suppose” to protect and serve, and some do, but they are no different than anyone else on this earth. They put on their pants one leg at a time like the rest of us. They chose that profession and they know the risks. I just feel they should not get special treatment. See, if a paramedic was killed in an ambulance crash, would they get a parade? A few years ago, a cop got killed here in Indianapolis and the funeral procession is something I have never seen before. Cops from EVERYWHERE. What made him so special.

AGAIN TO THE PEOPLE WHO DON’T LISTEN WELL…. They chose that profession. I would never be a cop, heck my cousin is one also and I still feel the same. Just like I chose to do Medical Coding. But if I die or get killed, I WILL NOT NOR WILL ANYONE ELSE get special treatment. Everyone has their opinion and I thank the people who answered this like I hoped people would. Didn’t I say it wasn’t meant to make people mad?

cl, doesn’t matter. He is the only cop I have seen in this city to get a damm parade. We ARE ALL the same. They know the risks when they sign up, no one put a gun to their head to do that. Maybe doctors should get special treament, hun?
I am not angry. I have been wronged by useles cops. And I was raised with common sense, just because I am black means nothing. I don’t use , sell myself, have any children, been in jail or anyting else. I work my as* off and go to school full time.
