It’s a parking lot, and this year they are rebuilding 465. It’s going to take a lot longer to get into the track this year. I would avoid the west side of Indy if I could. If I was going to the track I would get there from the east.

just depends if your staying. if your staying then try to stay on the eastside to find a place to park if your going to the race it may be a little farther away but not as heavy as the west side parking. if just traveling through 465 is the best bet either direction is going to be busy but thats just normal. best just to plan ahead a few hours before coming into indy.

Avoid Georgetown Road, Crawfordsville Road & 16th Street. It is a mad house around the track, even now. What would normally take 5 minutes took me 20 yesterday (Sunday) because I completely forgot, and I live here.

If possbile avoid the west side, and you’ll be fine.

Yup it is a mess, especially on race day. Just try to avoid the few hours before and after the race and you’ll be fine. You can normally get through on the interstates but avoid exit ramps.

Take 65 through town, and you will probably have no problems. Avoid 465.

As long as you stay on 65, you shouldn’t run into problems. Do NOT take 465 on the east side before or after, or you’ll never get anywhere. If you go through Indy during the race, you would be OK on 465. Avoid all the surface streets near the speedway regardless of what time you go through.
