    Fire update: The American Red Cross has put the family in a motel for now. There is someone in their neighborhood that has offered them temporary use of their home. A few have already offered things like a bed that they will need. Their faith is very strong and they are a very humble family. This is definitely bringing them closer together. An account for people to donate funds has been established at a local bank. Yesterday they had a stranger walk up to them and hand them $50, and their church has offered help, he is a retired pastor. Today they spend in doctor’s offices determining what course of action to pursue for his liver cancer. He had surgery the weekend before Christmas to remove the cancer, now they will evaluate if they should start chemo or not. If you want to see the news story it is available at: and

    Prayers go out to all those needing our prayers. Glad to hear Lincoln is doing good and Pete too. N7 my heart and prayers go out to your grandchilds other grandparents and their grandchild. It must be real hard losing everything like that. I’m real glad that noone was really hurt. Things can be replaced but people can’t.

    Ok this is a new year and I thought we all agreed that we were starting over and it had to be better than last year! What the heck! So far the only good things are Pete is doing better, and Lincoln is turning out to be a stud! It has to change!

    My union rep is an idiot and they changed the FMLA policy, so they don’t have to hold my job and my insurance runs out! I still will get short and long term disability while I fight for SSI. HR said my body is telling me it needs a rest, I have had alot of stress! Duh, my boss has been trying to get rid of me because I don’t speak Spanish and has tried to write me up for the last 3 years. Wonder where the stress comes from!

    n7 I am so sorry about the fire. I wish we lived closer, I’m sure I could find something they could use.

    Thanks for the prayers for John. I am going to go see them the next Sat. she has off. He beat Hodgkins, but I know better with brain cancer.

    We have gotten about another inch of snow today, but the winds and the cold air are what is getting to everyone.

    Those of you who lost out on points should contact your radio stations. I got credit when the points canged on a question one day. Never hurts to try. They probably get tired of me complianing when the answers won’t accept. I admit I have a lot of points, but that isn’t the point (no pun intended). I earned those points, so they should give them to me. You all earned that 2000 points by having the correct answer.

    So sorry to hear about your family & the fire, know that you & them are in our prayers. All things are possible! Tonight I had to travel in this storm & the TV said the roads were barley travelable & it was defiantly a miracle, the road I went down cleared right in front of me the whole way home for over an hours drive. It was so amazing!
