I am from the west, so I have no clue about the area, I do need to take into consideration the schools, the cost, and of course safe and decent neighborhoods. I also can’t commute too far to a job, Can anyone give me a few pointers?

My son is going to be born in March and sometime in the spring or early summer, me and my girlfriend want to move to the Indianapolis area. We currently live in New England and its becoming way too expensive to live here. We want to move somewhere close to the city… maybe Carmel? Any other nice towns that are close to the city that you can suggest would be very helpful. Also, how is the job market?
