My parents found a wild duck in their backyard two days ago. It is a little frightened of us, but has slowly gotten accustomed to our presence. Since ducks usually travel in packs, it is unusual that she (he?) is alone, and we wonder what troubles it’s going through. We want to help this duck, but are unsure where to start, since even our presence intimidates her. Any resources or information to help this new visitor in our backyard would be much appreciated.

We are having a hard time finding a place to go hang out and dance in (or around) Indianapolis. We prefer it be near the NW side, but will travel for a good place. We are looking for a place that has a mix of music (rock and country preferably), but will take suggestions for anything that is not all R&B and rap. We do not want a place that is packed like a sardine can. A hole in the wall would be good. We would also like for it to be all ages not full of all young people. Our group of friends consists of ages 25-45 and we don’t want anyone to feel out of place. This criteria pretty much rules out downtown and Broad Ripple. We used to go to a hole in the wall (She & I’s) which is now closed down. It definitely wasn’t the best, but it met most of our criteria. Anything similar or better would be great. Thanks for any suggestions!
